During the Covid 19 pandemic period, there has been a relaxation by HMRC, as to the availability of registering certain documents with the probate registrar through the drop box facility, and in particular those relating to HMRC – IHT Forms that are required for the applications for the Grant of Representation.
We understand from the notifications from HMRC, that they feel that as Covid 19 restrictions are now beginning to ease across the UK, they have seen a number of accounts submitted by post revert to the usual volumes.
They are now recommending that all customers (obviously including ourselves) who are able to file IHT accounts via the postal system, should continue to do so.
